The Dalton family is deeply entwined with the history of Orange. It began with the arrival of Irishman James Dalton Senior. He arrived as a convict in the 1830s and his family built an entrepreneurial dynasty which shaped the architectural, agricultural, and retail face of Orange.

Your fully-guided walking tour will take you past historic homes and stunning country gardens. We welcome you to join us and gain an insight into Orange’s delightful and surprising past.

* If you’re traveling with children, we recommend booking a custom tour so we can plan a more family-friendly experience. We’ll be glad to tailor a tour the whole family will enjoy.

* All tours operate rain, hail or snow, (after all it is Orange). You should dress for the day’s weather conditions. It’s impossible to cancel a tour at the last minute due to circumstances beyond our control.
